Halo Fest Update: Authors and Artists

Esports

This December at Halo Fest, eight invited teams will battle for their share of a $150,000 prize pool in the HCS Invitational. Last week, we revealed the 8 representatives that accepted invitations and will have the opportunity to build and lead a roster into Halo Fest’s premier competitive event. Without further ado, here are the full rosters that will be competing:

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-large-font-size">Invitees and Rosters</h2>

<ul>
<li>Shopify Rebellion: CyKul, Frosty, ItzTheLastShot, Royal 2 and coach Bestman</li>

<li>Spacestation Gaming: Bound, Cearion, Eco, Stellur and coach King Nick</li>

<li>Cloud9: Avucy, Barcode, Bubu dubu, Lethul and coach Senscr </li>

<li>ENVY: Acid, Piggy, Precision, Yakzn and coach Thug Nasty </li>

<li>Team Lucid: Lucid, Falcated, Kuhlect, Pznguin and coach Hoaxer</li>

<li>Team SnakeBite (TSM): SnakeBite, Lqgend, Taulek, Trippy and coach TreyTri  </li>

<li>Team SLG: SLG, Descendant, Glory, Ryanoob and coach Callous</li>

<li>Team Soul Snipe: Soul Snipe, Druk, Sab, Suppressed </li>
</ul>

Congratulations to the organizations and players that will be competing in the HCS Invitational! As a reminder, these invitees were selected through a holistic review of several factors, including:

<ul>
<li>HCS partnered teams that are still actively involved in the community/ecosystem. </li>

<li>Top pros or teams competing consistently (and performing well). </li>

<li>Positive contributors to the Halo community and franchise. </li>
</ul>

World champions, championship-winning organizations, fan favorites, community leaders. These are some of the most recognizable names of the competitive Halo Infinite era. Thank you to this group for the continued positive contributions to the competitive Halo ecosystem.

It’s important to note that there were more than eight deserving candidates for this event. The limited field size meant difficult decisions had to be made, and many accomplished organizations and players who strongly fit our selection criteria were ultimately unable to be included. That level of competition speaks to the talent, passion, and depth that continues to define the competitive Halo community heading into Halo Fest.

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-large-font-size">Format </h2>

The format for the HCS Invitational will be slightly different than previous LAN events, as we have the GSL format for group play. Teams will begin in one of two four-team GSL groups (seeded by 2026 HCS points), where every match matters. Win twice and advance, lose twice, and you’re eliminated. The top two teams from each group will move on to the four-team championship bracket that begins Saturday night, leading into Championship Sunday where we will crown the winner!

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-large-font-size">Looking Ahead </h2>

Halo Fest is a celebration of 25 years of Halo, and the HCS Invitational will bring together some of the most influential competitors and organizations of the Halo Infinite era. With the rosters now confirmed, we’re excited to see these teams battle for first place and the lion’s share of the $150,000 prize pool this December.

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-large-font-size">CONCERT </h2>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="576" src="https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2025/12/Benaroya-Hall-Halo-Fest-1024x576.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-157266" srcset="https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2025/12/Benaroya-Hall-Halo-Fest-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2025/12/Benaroya-Hall-Halo-Fest-300x169.jpg 300w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2025/12/Benaroya-Hall-Halo-Fest-768x432.jpg 768w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2025/12/Benaroya-Hall-Halo-Fest-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2025/12/Benaroya-Hall-Halo-Fest-1568x882.jpg 1568w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2025/12/Benaroya-Hall-Halo-Fest.jpg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

Kicking off Halo Fest is of course the 25th anniversary concert at Benaroya Hall on December 11. We’ve been developing an entire setlist that takes players through 25 years of this incredible music.

The show will begin at 7:00PM PT and will run until 9:30PM PT with a 20-minute intermission in the middle.

VIP ticketholders will have access to an exclusive lounge and as a collectible keepsake each VIP ticketholder will also receive a page of sheet music from the Halo Fest concert score. Be sure to trade with others to find the part of the show that resonates with you the most!

Finally, a logistical pro tip: for those attending the Concert and the Convention, you’ll be able to pick up your Convention credentials a day early at the Concert. This way you can skip some of the lines and go right into the Convention on Saturday.

We’ve seen some conversations of folks thinking to “dress up” for the concert – we think this is awesome! However, for those that want to show up in more casual attire then by all means, go for it. You should dress how you want, and Benaroya has no formal dress code.

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-large-font-size">CONTESTS </h2>

As a reminder, Cosplay and Maker’s Contest registration is now OPEN for all:

And for the Short Film contestants, don’t forget that the submission window closes on November 2.

We will have plenty of posters and cards with art exclusively made for Halo Fest that you can use to get signatures but feel free to bring your own things you’d like signed as well!

We’re also going to be hosting several authors from Halo’s beloved novels to participate in panels for your entertainment, but you’ll also get the chance to meet and chat with them as well. Be on the look out for details next week on what this looks like including the revamped Community Stage which will feature some key changes from iterations in the past that we’ll reveal starting next week.

Halo Fest will also host the HCS Invitational tournament featuring the best 8 teams in the scene fighting for $150,000 in prize pool.

Invites have already been rolling out and yesterday we confirmed that all 8 invitees have accepted and now are confirmed. Early next week, we’ll be releasing a blog sharing who those invitees are among teams and top players. Roster lock will take place on October 26.

At Halo Fest, there will be an HCS Stage and a smaller featured stage. Every match in group play and bracket stage will be broadcasted so fans in the venue and at home can enjoy the action.

Format:

<ul>
<li>Saturday: 2 GSL double elimination groups of 4. Top 2 from each group move to Championship Bracket, bottom 2 are eliminated. </li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Sunday: Championship bracket continues with final 4 teams. </li>
</ul>

All of the action will be broadcasted from the HCS YouTube as well as twitch.tv/hcs and twitch.tv/hcs_red

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-large-font-size">OPEN COMPETITION </h2>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="936" height="528" src="https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/10/image-1.png" alt="" class="wp-image-176840" srcset="https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/10/image-1.png 936w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/10/image-1-300x169.png 300w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/10/image-1-768x433.png 768w" sizes="(max-width: 936px) 100vw, 936px" /></figure>

$50,000 in prizing is up for grabs for all attendees across generations of Halo titles. Don’t forget to bring your controller! We’ll share the full schedule in the coming weeks so you and your squad can plan ahead.

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-large-font-size">ARTISTS </h2>

Artistry is a huge part of Halo and how fans connect to the franchise. At HaloWCs in the past we only dabbled with celebrating Halo’s art but for Halo Fest it will be a significant part of what fans can enjoy and learn more about.

To start, we’ve commissioned two dozen artists and a small group of prior artists who have worked on Halo professionally to create all new art just for Halo Fest and in celebration of the franchise turning 25. You can see the full list here: <a href="https://www.halowaypoint.com/news/halo-fest-june" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">https://www.halowaypoint.com/news/halo-fest-june</a>

Next week we will be revealing the art that we’ve commissioned which you will then later see around Halo Fest in various forms from signs, to banners, to postcards, and many more touch points.

We’re also excited to confirm an artist alley where, for the first time, artists from the community will create all new art to showcase and sell at Halo Fest. We’ll share more about who the artists are and give a sneak peek at what they’ve been cooking up for all of you but we are absolutely delighted for the 4 artists to join us at Halo Fest, and we hope that you support them there!

Finally, we will feature an art gallery for fans to enjoy even more art from the franchise.

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-large-font-size">MOBILE APP </h2>

Here’s a bit of news that we haven’t shared in the past – we’re making a Halo Fest mobile app! The app is a companion to help you navigate and make the most out of the event. Not only will it feature the full floor plan but it also feature the full event schedule which you can customize your own personal schedule from.

The app will also be where you register ahead of time for things like meet and greets with the special guests. Rather than waiting in line for half a day, you can just register for a timeslot and show up for the block of time when it’s your turn. Please note that there are not enough hours in the day to get every person to meet every special guests so prioritize your time wisely and make sure you register ahead of what you’re looking to do.

The app will feature a challenge system where doing various things around the event will help you win some epic prizes.

The app will be available in late November on for Android and iOS and we’ll have a full app preview just before it comes out so you can learn more about it.

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-large-font-size">MORE STAGES! </h2>

In addition to HCS and GDQ we will also have a Main Stage and a Community Stage. The broadcast schedule and programming will come later but want to take a moment to share a brief synopsis so you know what to expect.

Main Stage: The Main Stage is your main portal into everything happening at the event. You’ll hear from all the special guests, you’ll get a view into all of the experiences, and with dedicated panels for two days of pure entertainment.

Community Stage: The Community Stage is back but with a twist – all of the content on the Community Stage will be hosted by – you guessed it – the community. We will be hiring select folks from the community to host two days of panels, fireside chats, presentations, and more. We’ll share more about the content schedule in November.

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-large-font-size">CONCLUSION </h2>

We want to thank everyone for their continued support of Halo and Halo Fest. We’re no longer just relying on the monthly blogs to communicate – each week we’re going to be releasing more and more information about event at a quicker pace. Halo is special to all of us – we want to celebrate this amazing franchise and it’s even more amazing community.

Thanks,

Tashi

Halo Fest Update

For the past several months, the Forge community has been hard at work bringing fresh ideas to familiar inspirations, creating original maps that pay tribute to Halo’s legacy.

In partnership with <a href="https://forgehub.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">ForgeHub,</a> the $10,000 Halo Fest Forge Contest challenged creators to design original 4v4 arena maps inspired by the iconic multiplayer maps and campaign environments that have defined Halo for the last 25 years. Rather than creating direct remakes, Forgers were tasked with capturing the spirit of classic Halo spaces while introducing fresh ideas, modern gameplay, and unique experiences.

The response from the community was incredible.

A total of 62 maps were submitted, each bringing its own interpretation of Halo’s legacy and showcasing the creativity, talent, and passion of the Forge community.

After multiple rounds of review and judging, we’ve narrowed the field to the 10 finalists.

<h1 class="wp-block-heading">PLAY THE FINALISTS IN HALO INFINITE</h1>

The celebration doesn’t stop here.

To help celebrate 25 years of Halo, all ten finalist maps will be featured in a special Halo Infinite matchmaking playlist.

This playlist, coming later this year, brings together all ten finalist maps across a variety of game modes, giving players the opportunity to experience the creativity and craftsmanship of the Forge community firsthand.

Whether you’re looking for classic gameplay, fresh experiences, or simply want to support the talented Forgers who made these maps possible, this playlist will be the place to be. Featuring maps inspired by Halo’s incredible legacy while introducing original ideas and modern gameplay, the playlist serves as both a celebration of community creativity and a tribute to 25 years of Halo.

While we’re excited to announce the finalist lineup today, the competition isn’t over just yet.

The final placements and cash prizes for the Top 10 maps, first place through tenth place, will be revealed live at Halo Fest. Contest winners will be announced during the event as we celebrate the incredible talent, creativity, and passion demonstrated by the finalists. Of course, these maps will be playable at Halo Fest for fans in attendance, as well.

To every creator who submitted a map: thank you for helping us celebrate 25 years of Halo. Your creativity and dedication helped make this contest a success, and we’re grateful for the passion you continue to bring to Halo’s Forge community.

We’d also like to extend a special thank you to the team at ForgeHub for partnering with us on this contest and for their continued support of the Halo Forge community. Their passion for mapmaking and commitment to supporting creators helped make this contest possible.

We can’t wait to see these maps in the hands of players and celebrate the winners at Halo Fest.

Good luck to all our finalists and thank you again to everyone who participated in the Halo Fest Forge Contest!

Let’s play Halo! Earlier this year we announced that $50,000 will be up for grabs in open tournaments for fans to compete over and today we’re providing a breakdown of what to expect. Like with fans of Lore, there are also competitive fans who love to watch and compete, and we wanted to make sure they had a place in the venue they could call home as well while providing opportunities for anyone to play Halo and win prizes!

Here are the featured Open Competitions taking place at Halo Fest:

<ul>
<li>Halo Infinite: 4v4 – $20,000</li>

<li>Halo Infinite: FFA – $10,000</li>

<li>Halo Infinite: 2v2 – $3,500</li>

<li>Halo 5: Guardians: 2v2 – $2,500</li>

<li>Halo 3: 4v4 – $2,750</li>

<li>Halo 3: 2v2 – $3,500</li>

<li>Halo 2: 4v4 – $2,750</li>

<li>Halo: CE: 2v2 – $2,500</li>
</ul>

These tournaments are all free to enter for all attendees.

One thing we want to touch on specifically was the Halo Infinite 4v4. If you’ve competed at HCS events, typically Open Brackets of that magnitude require the purchase of a team pass to enter the tournament. Considering Halo Fest sold out before this information released, we’ve decided to open up 16 team passes for the HCS community to secure ahead of the event. The Team Passes won’t go on sale until November, but today we’re sharing more information about how they will be sold.

It’s important to us that these team passes are for the competitive community specifically, and not for GA fans who missed out on getting GA tickets and are now looking for ways to just get into Halo Fest with no interest in competing in this 4v4. Each team pass will allow entry for 4 competitors and 1 coach into Halo Fest.

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="576" src="https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2025/04/Open-Featured-1024x576.png" alt="Team Gen G celebrating a win at the HCS Arlington Major" class="wp-image-135825" srcset="https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2025/04/Open-Featured-1024x576.png 1024w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2025/04/Open-Featured-300x169.png 300w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2025/04/Open-Featured-768x432.png 768w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2025/04/Open-Featured-1536x864.png 1536w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2025/04/Open-Featured-1568x882.png 1568w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2025/04/Open-Featured.png 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

Here’s how it will work:

<ul>
<li>Team Passes will be sold in November, 4-6 weeks before the event.</li>

<li>Closer to Halo Fest, there will be a sign-up page where teams can register for Halo Fest. Teams will be invited to purchase a team pass in order of most HCS Points earned.</li>

<li>The team you sign up with will be considered your Halo Fest roster. Once a team purchases a Team Pass, that roster is considered locked.</li>

<li>We will go down the points list, team by team until Team Passes are sold out.</li>

The HCS Invitational brings together 8 of the world’s top Halo teams for an exclusive showcase at Halo Fest. Competing on the latest Halo Infinite HCS maps and modes, they’ll battle through group stage and a double-elimination bracket for their share of the $150,000 prize pool!

Teams will be selected through a direct invitation process, with invitations expected to be sent in the late Summer / early Fall. It’s not an exact science, and we won’t be using a points criteria. Our goal is to create a competitive spectacle that delivers epic entertainment for fans both in attendance and watching around the world.

Here are some of the factors we’ll be considering for invitations:

<ul>
<li>HCS partnered teams that are still actively involved in the community/ecosystem.</li>

<li>Top pros or teams competing consistently (and performing well).</li>

<li>Positive contributors to the Halo community and franchise.</li>
</ul>

The competition doesn’t stop with the HCS Invitational. Halo Fest will feature $50,000 in Open Competitions, giving attendees the chance to jump into the action across a variety of Halo titles and compete for cash prizes all weekend long.

Whether you’re teaming up with friends for Halo Infinite or revisiting classic Halo experiences, the Open Competitions are your opportunity to test your skills, meet fellow competitors, and become part of the Halo Fest celebration.

Here are the featured Open Competitions taking place at Halo Fest:

As with previous HCS events, the Halo Infinite 4v4 Open Tournament will require a Team Pass to compete. Because Halo Fest sold out before Team Pass details were announced, we’re making 16 Team Passes available specifically for the competitive Halo community.

Each Team Pass includes admission to Halo Fest for (4) players and (1) coach, along with entry into the tournament. Team Passes will go on sale in November, and are intended for competitors looking to participate in the 4v4 – not as an alternative way to purchase general admission to Halo Fest.

Here’s how it will work:

<ul>

<li>A Team Pass gives full access to Halo Fest, including competing in other open competitions in addition to the Halo Infinite 4v4.</li>

<li>Team Passes are not transferable.</li>

Esports at Halo Fest 2026

Welcome back Halo fans! We’re officially less than 6 months away from Halo Fest and the excitement is most certainly in the air! Today we’ve got some more exciting news to share but as usual let’s catch up if you’re new here:

<ul>
<li><a href="https://www.halowaypoint.com/news/halo-fest-may">May Update</a></li>

<li><a href="https://www.halowaypoint.com/news/halo-fest-march">March Update</a></li>

<li><a href="https://www.halowaypoint.com/news/halo-fest-december">December Update</a></li>
</ul>

Let’s jump in!

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/>

<h1 class="wp-block-heading">TICKETING UPDATE</h1>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="576" src="https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/04/Chief-Cosplay-Pointing-1024x576.png" alt="" class="wp-image-166168" srcset="https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/04/Chief-Cosplay-Pointing-1024x576.png 1024w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/04/Chief-Cosplay-Pointing-300x169.png 300w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/04/Chief-Cosplay-Pointing-768x432.png 768w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/04/Chief-Cosplay-Pointing-1536x864.png 1536w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/04/Chief-Cosplay-Pointing-1568x882.png 1568w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/04/Chief-Cosplay-Pointing.png 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

On June 9 we released another wave of tickets for Halo Fest and as you may have seen they sold out on the same day. Outside for the first day that tickets went on sale last year in December, that was the single highest sales day that Halo Fest has had – wow.

At this point we are already well over double the amount of attendees compared to HaloWC 2025 and we have decided to not release anymore tickets. It’s important to us that the experience for fans is as great as they’re expecting and sometimes the number of attendees can create a tipping point where the experiences become “waiting in line simulators”. We are trying to reduce the amount of time people have to wait in lines as much as we can. Attendees will likely still need to wait in line to get merch, or perhaps to get some food but we strongly believe people should not be waiting in lines for multiple hours just for a single experience. This changes how we design experiences, how we design the entire event, as well as how we’re creating functionality (like being able to pick up your badges the day before the convention starts) in order to create a smoother and more seamless experience.

So, for those who have secured your tickets – thank you. And for those who missed out, we hope to see you next time!

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/>

<h1 class="wp-block-heading">HALO ARTISTS</h1>

Back in February, we announced that we’re commissioning artists from the community and industry to create new Halo art in celebration of this franchise. Today, we’re honored to reveal the industry artists that will be creating all new Halo art.

Lorraine McLees: Yes, THAT Lorraine McLees. The creator of the original Halo logo, the artist behind the cover art for Halo: CE, and Halo 2, and so much more at Bungie.

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="576" src="https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/06/Lorraine-McLees-1024x576.png" alt="Halo 2 art by Lorraine McLees" class="wp-image-169056" srcset="https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/06/Lorraine-McLees-1024x576.png 1024w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/06/Lorraine-McLees-300x169.png 300w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/06/Lorraine-McLees-768x432.png 768w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/06/Lorraine-McLees-1536x864.png 1536w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/06/Lorraine-McLees-1568x882.png 1568w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/06/Lorraine-McLees.png 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

Eddie Smith: If you’ve been a long time Halo fan, you have no doubt seen some of Eddie’s work as it’s among the most iconic and also franchise-defining art from the original trilogy.

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="904" src="https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/06/Eddie-Smith-1024x904.png" alt="Halo art by Eddie Smith" class="wp-image-169098" srcset="https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/06/Eddie-Smith-1024x904.png 1024w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/06/Eddie-Smith-300x265.png 300w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/06/Eddie-Smith-768x678.png 768w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/06/Eddie-Smith.png 1224w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

Craig Mullins: Like the others, Craig has created some of the most inspiring Halo art to date including one of my personal favorites from Halo 2.

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="923" src="https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/06/Craig-Mullens-1024x923.png" alt="" class="wp-image-169084" srcset="https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/06/Craig-Mullens-1024x923.png 1024w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/06/Craig-Mullens-300x270.png 300w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/06/Craig-Mullens-768x692.png 768w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/06/Craig-Mullens.png 1198w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

Isaac Hannaford: Isaac was part of the Bungie team and created art you no doubt saw online and in magazines for Halo 3, and Reach. We’ve also worked with Isaac on more recent projects including the covers of the Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, and Halo 3 soundtrack vinyl.

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="744" src="https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/06/Isaac-Hannaford-1024x744.png" alt="" class="wp-image-169028" srcset="https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/06/Isaac-Hannaford-1024x744.png 1024w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/06/Isaac-Hannaford-300x218.png 300w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/06/Isaac-Hannaford-768x558.png 768w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/06/Isaac-Hannaford.png 1486w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

Jan Urschel: A relative newcomer to Halo but still a powerhouse in his own right, Jan is a master of creating incredible landscapes and transporting players to a distant galaxy. We can’t wait to see his fresh take on the Halo universe.

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="410" src="https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/06/Jan-Urschel-1024x410.png" alt="" class="wp-image-169042" srcset="https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/06/Jan-Urschel-1024x410.png 1024w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/06/Jan-Urschel-300x120.png 300w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/06/Jan-Urschel-768x307.png 768w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/06/Jan-Urschel-1536x614.png 1536w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/06/Jan-Urschel-1568x627.png 1568w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/06/Jan-Urschel.png 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/>

<h1 class="wp-block-heading">COMMUNITY ARTISTS</h1>

During this time, we’ve also invited more community artists to join the commission program and we can’t wait to see what they all create for the community to enjoy. See full list below:

You could say we’re on a RAMPAGE with all of the announcements dropping today and honestly I’m just feeling guilty for missing the April blog, so we’re making up for it. Speaking of guilty, we’re excited to announce that none other than Tim Dadabo, the voice of 343 Guilty Spark will be joining us live at Halo Fest! As a very important character in the Halo universe and in the community, we can’t wait for you all to meet Tim!

And speaking of RAMPAGE, the Halo Multiplayer Announcer Jeff Steitzer will also be joining us at Halo Fest. SPECTACULAR! (I know that’s not a real medal, but I hope you heard the announcer in your head as you read that like I did.)

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">SIX MONTHS AWAY!</h2>

This year has really flown by so far and I’m sure Halo Fest will be here before we know it! Thank you for all your enthusiasm and support leading up to this point, we can feel your energy. In every meeting we have about Halo Fest, your presence is with the team as we and our partners work to craft a great experience for you.

<ul>
<li><a href="https://www.halowaypoint.com/news/halo-fest-march">March Update</a></li>

<li><a href="https://www.halowaypoint.com/news/halo-fest-february">February Update</a></li>

<li><a href="https://www.halowaypoint.com/news/halo-fest-december">December Update</a></li>
</ul>

Alright, let’s jump in since we’ve got big news to share today!

Here’s the TL;DR for those too eager to read on:

<ul>
<li>Special Guests: The voices of the Master Chief and Cortana, Steve Downes and Jen Taylor will be joining us.</li>

<li>We’ve moved buildings within the Seattle Convention Center for more space. Bigger venue = more activations and also some more tickets!</li>

<li>Small batch of tickets releases on June 9 @ <a href="https://halofest.com/tickets">halofest.com/tickets</a></li>
</ul>

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/>

<h1 class="wp-block-heading">SPECIAL GUESTS</h1>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="2560" height="1440" src="https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/05/S-J-16X9.png" alt="Halo Fest - Voice Actors of Master Chief and Cortana. 25 years ago, two people named Steve Downes and Jen Taylor jumped into a studio booth to record voices for an upcoming game named Halo: Combat Evolved. Little did any of us know, this game, these voices, and those characters in the Master Chief and Cortana, would leave a permanent mark in the hearts of millions of people around the world and on the entertainment industry itself.

This year is important for the franchise because of the game that started it all, the release of the remake in Halo: Campaign Evolved, and of course this event in Halo Fest where we get together and celebrate as a community.

And so with that, we’re thrilled to confirm that both Steve Downes, the voice of the Master Chief and Jen Taylor, the voice of Cortana will both be joining us at Halo Fest.

For Halo Fest, Steve and Jen will be spending as much time as possible with the community so expect meet and greets, signings, and photo ops through the weekend. We will share their detailed schedule later this fall ahead of the big event.

<h1 class="wp-block-heading">TICKETING & VENUE UPDATE</h1>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="576" src="https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/05/HaloFest-Tickets-Bigger-Venue-More-Tickets-16x9-1-1024x576.png" alt="" class="wp-image-166928" srcset="https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/05/HaloFest-Tickets-Bigger-Venue-More-Tickets-16x9-1-1024x576.png 1024w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/05/HaloFest-Tickets-Bigger-Venue-More-Tickets-16x9-1-300x169.png 300w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/05/HaloFest-Tickets-Bigger-Venue-More-Tickets-16x9-1-768x432.png 768w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/05/HaloFest-Tickets-Bigger-Venue-More-Tickets-16x9-1-1536x864.png 1536w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/05/HaloFest-Tickets-Bigger-Venue-More-Tickets-16x9-1-1568x882.png 1568w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/05/HaloFest-Tickets-Bigger-Venue-More-Tickets-16x9-1.png 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

After building HaloWC each year and growing our attendance, we set a lofty goal of making Halo Fest double the size of HaloWC and the community has blown away our expectations. We did not think there was a real chance it would sell out this far ahead of the actual event.

The demand from this community has been incredible, and we want to meet it. To do that, we’re moving Halo Fest to a bigger venue. We’ve worked closely with the city of Seattle and have decided to relocate from the Summit building of the Seattle Convention Center to its next-door neighbor, the Arch building. If the Arch sounds familiar, it’s because it’s where HaloWC has been held each year. However, that was in just one of the halls. Halo Fest will be held in all of the major halls that the venue has to offer making it nearly twice the size of HaloWC 2025.

A bigger venue means a better Halo Fest. We’ll be able to include more activations and space for attendees to enjoy the weekend – and it also means more of you.

Because of the additional space, we’re also able to sell more tickets starting on June 9 at 10AM PT at <a href="https://halofest.com/tickets">halofest.com/tickets</a>.

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/>

<h1 class="wp-block-heading">CONCLUSION</h1>

We are very grateful that Halo has such an amazing community and it’s a privilege for us to host an event such as Halo Fest where all of you can share your love and passion for Halo. Thank you to everyone who has made plans to attend, we can’t wait to see you in December!

Thanks,

Tashi

This month we’re diving into esports at Halo Fest! When we first announced Halo Fest at HaloWC, we also shared that an HCS Invitational would be part of the celebration. Today we’re sharing the initial details, with more to come later in the summer – let’s jump in!

<h1 class="wp-block-heading">HCS INVITATIONAL</h1>

The HCS Invitational is an invite-only tournament that is just one component of the esports/competitive experience at Halo Fest. The tournament will be played on Halo Infinite, leveraging of course, the latest HCS maps & modes. We’re excited to confirm that the prize pool for the tournament will be $150,000!

We also want to share a bit about the considerations we’re making for the invitation process. It’s not an exact science, and we won’t be using a points criteria. Our goal is to create a competitive spectacle that delivers epic entertainment for Halo fans both onsite and watching online.

Here are some of the factors we’ll be considering for invitations:

<ul>
<li>HCS partnered teams that are still actively involved in the community/ecosystem.</li>

<li>Top pros or teams competing consistently (and performing well).</li>

<li>Positive contributors to the Halo community and franchise.</li>
</ul>

Please note that the invites won’t be an even mixture of the above criteria. You can think of them as filters to help us make what will ultimately be a very hard decision. We’re expecting invites to go out late Summer / early Fall.

In terms of format, the tournament will field 8 teams in a mix of pool play and double elimination bracket. It’s important to keep in mind that the Halo Fest Convention is a two-day event, and while we haven’t finalized schedule yet, we’re expecting teams to be eliminated on the first day.

<h1 class="wp-block-heading">OPEN COMPETITION</h1>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="576" src="https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2025/12/Fans-Playing-Halo-CE-1024x576.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-157252" srcset="https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2025/12/Fans-Playing-Halo-CE-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2025/12/Fans-Playing-Halo-CE-300x169.jpg 300w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2025/12/Fans-Playing-Halo-CE-768x432.jpg 768w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2025/12/Fans-Playing-Halo-CE-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2025/12/Fans-Playing-Halo-CE-1568x882.jpg 1568w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2025/12/Fans-Playing-Halo-CE.jpg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

In addition to the HCS Invitational, we’ll also have plenty of open competitions for attendees to participate in themselves. Our goal here is to offer something for everyone: various team sizes including solos, as well as various Halo games in celebration of 25 years of Halo. Some of final matches of the Open Competitions may also take place on the esports stage!

More details are to come, and today we’re excited to confirm that $50,000 in prizing will be awarded across the Open Competitions at Halo Fest.

Which tournament formats or games would you like to compete in? Be sure to drop me a line on Twitter <a href="https://x.com/Tashi343i" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">HERE.</a>

<h1 class="wp-block-heading">CONCLUSION</h1>

The road to Halo Fest continues and each day that passes we are excited to put on a great event and great show for everyone in the Halo community. We can’t wait to celebrate with everyone later in December!

Thanks,

Tashi

Esports at Halo Fest (March Update)

Welcome back to another edition of the Halo Fest Update Series – today we’ve got some big announcements that we’re excited to share with you.

Before we do that, if you’re new to the series and want to catch up, you can hit the links below:

</ul>

Alright, as usual, let’s start with a ticketing update.

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">

<h1 class="wp-block-heading">TICKETING UPDATE</h1>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="576" src="https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2025/12/Cosplay-Spartan-Pointing-1024x576.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-157224" srcset="https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2025/12/Cosplay-Spartan-Pointing-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2025/12/Cosplay-Spartan-Pointing-300x169.jpg 300w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2025/12/Cosplay-Spartan-Pointing-768x432.jpg 768w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2025/12/Cosplay-Spartan-Pointing-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2025/12/Cosplay-Spartan-Pointing-1568x882.jpg 1568w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2025/12/Cosplay-Spartan-Pointing.jpg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

Halo Fest tickets continue to sell at a fast pace, and today I can confirm that the Halo Fest convention is now over 75% sold out. Folks – I think pretty soon in one of these updates I’m going to be talking about how it’s sold out and when that happens you’ll want to be one of the people who says, “Good thing I bought my ticket early!” instead of one of the people who says, “I wish I didn’t wait so long!”.

So, if you’re on the fence about going, time is running out! For those who have secured your spot already, enjoy the ride!

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/>

<h1 class="wp-block-heading">GAMES DONE QUICK</h1>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="576" src="https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/02/GDQ-1024x576.jpg" alt="Fans celebrating at Games Done Quick" class="wp-image-163470" srcset="https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/02/GDQ-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/02/GDQ-300x169.jpg 300w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/02/GDQ-768x432.jpg 768w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/02/GDQ-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/02/GDQ-1568x882.jpg 1568w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/02/GDQ.jpg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

Speedrunning is a critical part of the Halo franchise. For decades, Halo speedrunners have dazzled us and broken our brains competing against each other to complete Halo campaigns with the fastest times. Sword canceling vast distances, breaking through the geometry and skipping huge swaths of levels (there are designers shaking their fists somewhere) all in the name of great fun, entertainment, and some healthy competition.

Well today we’re excited to announce that we’ve partnered with the amazing team at Games Done Quick to host an official Halo Games Done Quick live at Halo Fest later this year. It was important to us that we provided an authentic and community-centered experience, and we couldn’t think of anyone better to collaborate with than the fine folks (and Halo fans!) at Games Done Quick.

Whether you’re onsite or at home, you’ll be able to watch two full days of speedruns and challenge runs across various games from the Halo franchise featuring the world’s best Halo speedrunners. And of course, the GDQ team will be taking donations on behalf of a great charity we will share later.

For details, keep it locked to <a href="https://x.com/GamesDoneQuick">Games Done Quick</a>‘s social media for game selections, runners, and schedule. We can’t wait to watch the community completely break and dismantle these games for all of our entertainment pleasure!

<h1 class="wp-block-heading">ARTIST COMMISSION</h1>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="576" src="https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/02/Outlet-Chief-1024x576.jpg" alt="Halo Fan Art by Outlet Chief" class="wp-image-163512" srcset="https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/02/Outlet-Chief-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/02/Outlet-Chief-300x169.jpg 300w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/02/Outlet-Chief-768x432.jpg 768w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/02/Outlet-Chief-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/02/Outlet-Chief-1568x882.jpg 1568w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/02/Outlet-Chief.jpg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

(Fan Art by <a href="https://x.com/OutletChief729">Outlet Chief</a>)

As you have hopefully noticed about Halo Fest, a key theme is community involvement. We started talking about this with the various contests last month, speedrunning, and now we’re excited to confirm that we’re commissioning artists in the Halo community to create art that will be shown and shared at Halo Fest!

The spirit of the idea is that as you’re walking through the halls at Halo Fest, you’re not only seeing iconic official art from the Halo franchise but also incredible community-made art to serve as a reminder that this franchise is nothing without you all – the community.

Here are just a few of the artists we’ve confirmed to be working with:

<ul>
<li><a href="https://x.com/John_Grosjean">John Grosjean</a></li>

<li><a href="https://x.com/Soul_ant19">Soul</a></li>

<li><a href="https://x.com/Rythayze">Rythaze</a></li>

<li><a href="https://x.com/VincentGat">Vin Gattuso</a></li>

<li><a href="https://x.com/hartwell_design">Hartwell Design</a></li>
</ul>

In addition to community artists, we’re also commissioning artists who have created official Halo art over the years whether they were independent, at Bungie, or at 343 Industries.
