Welcome back to Forge Features, where it’s that time once again to do a round-up of some of the latest and greatest community-made maps for you to bookmark and try out!



From classic remakes to Firefight-based campaign level recreations and brand new maps, we’ve got a veritable swath of awesomeness to share with you this issue. So let’s kick things off by catching up with Operation: UPPER CUT in orbit around Reach…

Long Night of Solace is a beloved mission from Halo: Reach, and you can experience a stunningly extensive recreation of the infiltration of the Ardent Prayer made in Halo Infinite’s Forge! You’ll start off on the corvette’s hull and fight your way in, moving to take the hangar, weapons stations, and eventually the bridge.



Grab some friends and play this map with Firefight: King of the Hill—make sure you set “SEQUENTIAL SETS” to true in the mode options (appears specifically under the Firefight options category) for a true linear experience.

Many would argue that Sandtrap is the perfect map for just about any mode, and they would be right—something that Okom1’s Sandtrap Firefight only goes to show further by bringing PvE to this beloved classic location.

A great small-sized map for those intimate 1v1 standoffs, 2v2 doubles, and 4v4 team matches—don’t feel bad if you end up getting killed because you’re just staring in awe at the rather horrifying monster in the distance!

Citadel released back in 2009 alongside Halo 3: ODST, which included the second part of the Mythic Map Pack. But where Citadel’s debut in Halo 3 was visually defined by its warm tones and golden light shining through, NEMEZIS has seen fit to explore what the map looks like as a frozen, decaying ruin.

Who knew there was a “most beautiful Halo map ever” competition going on because Stormlight is absolutely a prime contender for it! This BTB map is set under an enlarged hologram of our galaxy projected by a central Forerunner structure surrounded by verdant, rocky terrain—a true “war in heaven”-type location that perfectly fits Halo’s tone and aesthetics.

Upon spawning into this map, you just might think that you’ve stumbled back in time to 2004. The aesthetic and design sensibilities of Halo 2’s Earth-based maps are all over Derailed (with a dash of some Halo 4 as well), the gamertag of the map’s creator comes as no surprise as it really would take a total legend to build this!

UneeQ is always turning out some absolutely stunning maps, and their latest endeavor is Serenity—a remake of Sanctuary, the timeless classic from Halo 2.



Scaled for Halo Infinite’s gameplay, Serenity supports all core modes and was built using recently added ancient and alien world-themed Forge palette objects.

Entirely community driven, this crew dreams big and makes magic happen with the power of Halo Infinite’s Forge. If you can dream it up, they can make it happen—they are absolute wizards with Forge! Their hard work has earned them a well-deserved spot in matchmaking.

Objective: SURVIVE



The Forge Falcons’ exciting PvE experience, Survive the Undead, arrives in the Combat Workshop today! For the next two weeks, you’ll be able to jump in and put your survival skills to the test in this 100% community created mode.

Survive the Undead meshes the Halo Firefight experience with the fan-favorite COD Zombies mode resulting in fast paced, intense, and sometimes spooky gameplay. As we learned in Reach, the objective is to “survive,” and you want to do that by any means necessary. Earn points to buy upgrades, grab perks, or chance it all on a mystery box. Maybe it’ll help, maybe it’ll set you back—the thrill is in the risk!



As a note, while waiting to respawn, make sure to wiggle your sticks to keep from getting kicked for inactivity.



The Combat Workshop is your one-shop stop to check out work-in-progress maps, modes, and other new experiences. This playlist allows us to test out new modes (BTB Heavies), new features (new networking model), and get feedback at scale before taking that information back and iterating on it. From there, we can address issues and community feedback to get things ready for primetime matchmaking.

These broken dreams have been restored with this remake of my personal all-time favorite map: Turf! There’s something about this map that I absolutely love—from the Warthog, to the downed Scarab, to the med tent… the routes are ingrained in my mind, and it feels like just yesterday my teammates and I were careening through the doors, hoping to splatter someone.

My first time on this map, the first thing I did was turn around and jump off the edge to see what happened. Anyway, I don’t recommend doing this when you 1v1 someone here, unless you like the additional challenge I suppose. You are the author of your own destiny, after all.

Glibnub might not think so, but I find shooting Grunts <s>are</s>at your friends via Rocket Launchers to be an absolute riot. Everyone should check out this crazy custom game and watch the chaos ensue. Grunts are literally flying everywhere and making folks fly everywhere. What could possibly go wrong? 



You truly have not lived until you’ve been chased by Grunts fired out of someone’s SPNKr.

Octagon 1v1s are common warmups for many players, but sometimes you want some variety in your octagons. Rather than saving a bunch of different size versions, this unique creation allows you to play at a variety of ranges and you can add/remove platforms around the maps—both at will. 



If you look up, you’ll notice some dice and a soccer ball. You start out on 1, the smallest map. You can increase the size by shooting the incrementally larger numbers. Shoot the soccer ball to add/remove the platforms as you desire.

If you want to practice the aforementioned aiming, Aimlabs is for you. This has been a popular “game” on PC for people on mouse and keyboard, but now there’s a version built into Halo Infinite itself. You can work on your aim in a variety of rooms and scenarios with every weapon in the arsenal. From my time with it, I can confirm that my Shock Rifle skills are still subpar. 



If you want to do a combo of Aimlabs and an Octagon, you can do that too simply by interacting with the Octagon on the ground.

From the folks that brought you The Silent Cartographer and Assault on the Control Room recreated in Halo Infinite’s Forge comes another Halo: CE level—The Pillar of Autumn.



Get your targeting diagnostics and energy shields tested because you’re gonna need all the help you can get to repel enemy boarding parties, protect your fellow soldiers, and get to the escape pods to make ringfall! The placement of the enemies, the winding corridors, even some of the additional details from Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary is all here, and it’s a delight to see just how much love was put into this experience.

Things will never be the same for fans of Halo 2’s gondolas, as Purgatory is heavily inspired by the aesthetic and gameplay experience of those missions.



A particularly cool detail is that the walls around you are perpetually moving upwards, making it feel like you really are descending into the substructural belly of the beast.

This BTB map features a Forerunner beam emitter on one side, a Banished base on the other, and a network of caves mixed with open, grassy terrain for you to navigate.



This map looks stunning, providing a great visual juxtaposition between the sleek, advanced look of Forerunner technology and with the dark, foreboding presence of a Banished tower.

The quick and the dead. One can simply never tire of Blood Gulch remakes, and this one is heavily inspired by the visual direction of Zeta Halo’s landscapes in Halo Infinite’s campaign.

I could tell you lots of cool things about this map, but my neurons started firing with excitement at a great recreation of a damaged Locust from Halo Wars in the city streets along with a Scarab. That alone is worth a bookmark!
